In 1969, Joe Zeiph rode in his first Porsche, a 1969 911S
his father Bob had just purchased. He knew from then on
what he wanted to do.

Always a tinkerer, Joe started by helping his Dad restore and maintain a 1963 Super 90 in 1973.

1979 found Joe in the Marine Corps as an aviation ordnance mechanic. Diagnosing and repairing sophisticated electronic and mechanical aircraft systems prepared him for his career in the German automotive field.

In 1983, under the watchful eyes of factory trained master mechanics Bill Keith and Walt Adriance, Joe began to master the art of Porsche/VW/Audi repair. In 1992, it was time to venture out on his own and ‘Porboys’ was born.

After 9 years at one location, Porboys moved into a 5,000 square foot facility, located just 3 miles north of the old, right off of interstate 880 and Fruitvale, one block from the Fruitvale Bart station.
